The Business Excellence Awards have been celebrating outstanding success in Kelowna for the past 22 years.

Each year, nominations are received for the business and individual awards. The nominees fill in a detailed nomination form that is then reviewed by an impressive group of judges. The group of finalists are selected based on the information contained in the nomination package. The finalists are then visited in person by the judges in September. The finalists are profiled during the Business Excellence Awards ceremony during Small Business Week in October and the recipients are announced that evening.

Both the finalists and the award recipients receive valuable publicity before, during and after the event. The employees of these companies also feel a sense of pride in their employer.

The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce is launching a Go Green Business Challenge to spur businesses to initiate green practices into their workplace. Join us for this continental breakfast event and find out about the e-learning tool that the Kelowna Chamber is endorsing to help businesses save money, make the workplace more sustainable and boost morale by helping the office go green. Also hear from a panel of green business speakers who will discuss how their organizations went green, the challenges they faced along the way and how they overcame these challenges.
